CVWA Competition Rules
1)
Kids Division-athletes may only compete in the age group for which they are eligible for by birth year.
2) Kids Division-athletes may only compete in one weight class per style
at one given event.
3) Kids Division-athletes may compete in the one weight class directly
above the weight class for which they have officially weighed-in, but only one weight class directly above.
4) Cadet Division-athletes can choose either the Cadet division (year
born) or Junior division, but cannot wrestle in both divisions in any one given event.
5)
Athletescan compete
in two styles at any one given event in his/her designated age group.
6) Cadet and Junior athletes should compete in only
one weight class in any one given event.
7) Parents
Oral or Written Permission for their athlete to
wrestle in a different age group or more than one weight class in any one given event WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
8) When it is necessary to pool athletes, the parents must be
notified (unless specified in the CVWA Rules)
9) Exhibition Matches will follow the same rules and regulations for
all age groups/weights.
10) A wrestler
must be 17 years of age to compete in the OPEN Division.
ANY WRESTLER/COACH NOT ABIDING BY THE RULES OF THE CVWA WILL BE DISQUALIFIED FROM
THAT TOURNAMENT AND THE NEXT.
